Len Gaik, B.Sc., M.B.A., LL.B., LL.M.

Len provides strategic legal and business advice to Canadian, US and international clients operating in the music, sports, television, film, internet, marketing, advertising, media and technology industries. 

His clients are diverse, including large multinationals, small to medium-sized companies, individual entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, performers and athletes.  All are top tier participants in their respective fields of endeavour, such as the Canadian rock and roll icon Randy Bachman, Canada’s auto racing phenom Robert Wickens, and the leading North American producer and distributor of specialty music and video, Somerset Entertainment, for whom Len is the Head of Legal and Business Affairs.

Whether his client’s needs are organizational, strategic, transactional, or individual, Len applies his combined expertise in intellectual property (copyright, trademarks and patents) and business law, with his business management acumen, to deliver highly effective, practical and efficient services.

The law firm Len Gaik Entertainment Law was founded at the beginning of 2005 with offices in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario.  Prior to opening his firm, Len practiced in the Entertainment Law groups of multiple Toronto firms, commencing in 2000 as the first associate of the then newly formed Entertainment Law boutique, Stohn Abramovitch.  Before that, Len practiced intellectual property, corporate, finance and tax law with Canada’s leading national law and accounting firms.

Len was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997, after receiving his Bachelor Of Laws degree from the University of Windsor.  He subsequently received a Master Of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School.  Len also holds a Master Of Business Administration (International Business & Marketing) degree and a Bachelor Of Science degree from McMaster University.
